THE BELL IS RINGING THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.  The sight of a child dropping a few coins into a Salvation Army kettle is a familiar one throughout the holiday season.  A lesson on the importance of helping others often goes hand-in-hand with those coins.  The holidays are a common time to think about those less fortunate.  Need, however, knows no season.  It exists right here in our community 365 days a year.

Worship with Us

THE CEDAR RAPIDS SALVATION ARMY - A CENTER FOR WORSHIP & SERVICE.   Did you know The Salvation Army is also a church?  Our chapel is lcoated within our facility at 1000 C Avenue NW in Cedar Rapids.  The Salvation Army Corps offers weekly worship services and a variety of biblically-based programming for all ages.  For more information, contact the pastors and corps officers, Lieutenants Michael & Kristina Sjogren.

In addition to providing assistance with basic needs, The Salvation Army also offers many opportunities and a support system for familes and children.  Visit with us about our camping experiences, musical exploration, character-building programs, summer day camp, sports leagures, after school activities, resource fairs, fellowship opportunities and family-friendly events.
